Nodusfactory offers low friction rings made from several materials

Nodusfactory uses different materials to manufacture its low friction rings, just like for its pulleys.

This makes it possible to meet the specific needs of each application and to offer products adapted to different budgets.

• PA11 carbon: Offers an excellent strength/weight ratio and good abrasion resistance. It is the most used material for low friction rings.

• I-Tech: High performance polymer-based composite material. It is extremely lightweight and resistant to abrasion, UV and chemicals.

• PEEK: High performance thermoplastic polymer. It offers exceptional resistance to heat, abrasion and chemicals.

The choice of material depends on the application: • PA11 carbon: Suitable for most sailing applications, including cruising and racing.

• I-Tech: Particularly suitable for applications where lightness is an important factor.

• PEEK: Recommended for applications where heat and chemical resistance are essential, such as working sailboats and military boats. Nodusfactory also offers low friction rings in aluminum and stainless steel. These materials are heavier than composites, but they offer better resistance to corrosion and impact.
