Loop in Dyneema® sheath is a flat webbing ideal for attaching a pulley or a low-friction ring. Made from hollow braid, the rope is coated with polyurethane to improve abrasion and UV resistance. They coming in two main categories:
1. Padeyes with integrated textile tie (e.g. Pad-SX®, Pad-Race®)
These models, such as the Pad-SX® or Pad-Race®, are distinguished by the integration of an ultra-strong Dyneema® loop directly into the PA11 carbon structure.
- Function and Advantage: They form a complete, "ready-to-use" anchoring point. Textile ties offer maximum lightness, excellent abrasion resistance (superior to steel in some aspects) and better shock absorption. For the Pad-SX® model, the loop is often adjustable, allowing great versatility for hanging or securing equipment at various angles.
- Installation: They are generally designed to be glued (with a two-component adhesive such as Nodus-Loc®) or combined with a screw for very heavy loads. The PA11 carbon body provides a solid, UV- and weather-resistant fastening base.
2. Padeyes without integrated textile link (body only)
These models are PA11 carbon attachment structures that serve as a base for inserting a rope or webbing by the user.
- Function and Advantage: They act as a simple trigger guard or chainplate, offering the possibility of customizing the accessory (friction ring, webbing, rope) according to the specific need of the maneuver. The body alone benefits from all the rigidity and lightness of carbon-filled PA11, serving as an anchoring interface with no protruding metal parts.
- Installation : The emphasis is on ease of installation, mainly by gluing to deck or mast, taking advantage of the large contact area to distribute loads.
