Criteria for use

The usage index created by Nodus Factory is based on two key criteria:

• Wear resistance: Evaluates the product's ability to withstand frequent and prolonged use.
• Breaking strength: Determines the strength of the product in the face of significant forces.


The identification of usage criteria is based on resistance to wear or resistance to breaking.

• Technical – T (S & HL)

Repairability Categories

Three distinct categories define the level of repairability of each product:

Category 1: Exclusive repair at Nodusfactory


Only concerns Dyneema® textile fiber components (textile shackle on connector). In this case, repair is only possible by Nodusfactory.

Procedure :


1. Return defective connectors to Nodusfactory.
2. Nodusfactory carries out the repair.
3. The repaired product is returned to you.


Category 2: User repair

Applies to certain product components, such as the sheath, toggle, Block ring or Twist Lock strap. Repair is accessible to the user through the sale of components online.

Procedure :


1. Identify the defective component.
2. Order the replacement component on the Nodusfactory website.
3. Follow the instructions provided to replace the defective component.

Category 3: Easy repair by the user

Includes all replaceable product components. Repair is simplified by the availability of components online.

Procedure :


1. Identify the defective component.
2. Order the replacement component on the Nodusfactory website.
3. Replace the defective component without difficulty.


Important notes


• Loop type Dyneema® textile connectors are not repairable and are not included in the repairability index.
• Dyneema® T-Close and M textile shackles are rated factor 1, except in cases of intensive use.
• Dyneema® textile loops and locks associated with one or more accessories are classified in category 3.
