Discover our range of friction rings: each range has its own use. Low-friction rings are ideal for replacing old pulleys on your boat.
Combined with a textile connector: shackle, loop, erse in textile Dyneema® and our locking systems (Twist Lock / Bague Block), Nodus Factory friction rings will bring you strength, lightness and performance to equip and rig your sailboat.
But beware: each friction ring has a specific use, and it's important to check its characteristics to use it properly: comparison chart
Nodus & Tips
Follow the basic rules of seamanship to ensure maximum load on low-friction rings:
- A larger eye increases the strength of the ring, and the splice angle at the groove should be at least 15 degrees.
- The length of the flat eye must be at least 2.7 times the diameter of the ring groove (e.g. for the P-Tech range. 10 : 27 mm, 14 : 38 mm, 20 = 54 mm).
- Textile connector, halyard or ring sheet must be at least 0.6 times the diameter of the groove (e.g. for the P-Tech range, the Ø of the sheet or halyard must be at least 10: 4 mm, 14: 6 mm, 20: 10 mm).
